SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
CALL FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS:
International Conference on The Church and Society: Collaborative Engagement for Global Transformation. We invite scholars, researchers, practitioners, and individuals passionate about the relationship between the Church and society to submit abstracts for paper presentations at the International Conference on The Church and Society. This conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, explore best practices, and develop actionable recommendations for enhancing the collaborative engagement between the Church and society.
1. Submission Guidelines:
- Abstracts should be written in English and not exceed 300 words.
- Clearly state the paper's objective, methodology, key findings, and relevance to the conference themes.
- Include a brief biography of the author(s) (maximum 100 words per author).
- Abstracts must be submitted in electronic format (Microsoft Word or PDF) to this email address: support@thechristianinstitute.net
- The subject line of the email should read: "Abstract Submission - Author’s Last Name"
- The deadline for abstract submissions is October 31, 2023
2. Conference Themes:
Please ensure that your abstract aligns with one of the conference themes outlined in the concept note:
- Social Justice and Human Rights -- Education and Sustainable Development -- Healthcare and Well-being
- Poverty Alleviation and Economic Empowerment-- Environmental Stewardship and Climate Change
- Peacebuilding and Interfaith Cooperation-- Technology and Social Impact -- Youth and Women Empowerment
- Migration and Global Displacement -- Ethical Leadership and Integrity
3. Evaluation and Selection:
All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind peer-review process by the conference's abstract evaluation committee. Abstracts will be evaluated based on their relevance to the conference themes, clarity, originality, and potential contribution to knowledge and practice. Selected authors will be notified of acceptance by November 30, 2023 and provided with further instructions for full paper submission.
4. Presentation Guidelines:
- Accepted presenters will be required to submit full papers by December 15, 2023.
- Presentations should be in English and should not exceed 15 minutes, followed by a Q&A session.
- PowerPoint or PDF slides are recommended for visual aids during presentations.
- Presenters and participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses.
5. Publication Opportunities:
Selected papers presented at the conference will have the opportunity to be published in reputable journals or conference proceedings, subject to the journals' review process and guidelines.
